I'm a new mom and need products that will help simplify my busy day.  Has anyone tried the new Bounce Dryer Bar? It looks simple to use, but it's a little more expensive than regular dryer sheets... Is the convenience really worth it? HELP!!!

I was wondering that too.

I have purchased 2 and I really would recommend.  The first one did not work so well and the second seems to be much better.  I think it is a lot easier and you don't have to search for the dryer sheet that always seems to hide in the sleeve of your shirt or the leg of your pants.   They are somewhat expensive but work really well.

O-M-G! I hate when all those dryer sheets get stuck in my pant leg. The Dryer bar is way more convenient and eco-friendly.

Ok thanks! Being eco-friendly is very important to me, it just seems like I'm going through so much laundry with the new baby! My husband and I are trying to commit to the cloth diaper concept... I just would hate to buy the dryer bar and have to replace it in a couple weeks!

Does anyone know how many loads of laundry the dryer bars last for?

Be careful with your cloth diapers in the dryer -- mine are not supposed to be dried with any fabric softener. I hear it reduces the absorbancy...

Fabric softener also reduces the absorbancy of your towels.

Did anyone get the coupons from vocalpoint?  I received a bunch of coupons for $1.00 - $2.50 off.  I dont plan on buying the dryer bar-- if anyone wants the coupons pm me and I'll mail them to you.

I haven't tried it and I probably won't. I'm a powered Tide and liquid Downy girl and I don't see that changing any time soon!

I had no idea that the fabric softener would reduce absorbancy so greatly- thank you!  It makes so much sense now...

Is there something wrong with the dryer bars that most people don't want to try them?  Should I not buy them? (The coupons sound great)

Fabric softner is also not good for your long underwear for the winter months along with any warm socks with wicking material.  I really don't feel there is anything wrong with the dryer bar.  I have one in my dryer right now and I just love it.  It is one less step that I need to take to get the laundry done.   Good luck with you decision.  Again, I love the dryer bar and I am sure that I will continue to use.

I've heard good and bad reviews of this product. IMO the greenest thing you can do is use tennis balls in your dryer to fluff your laundry. I know this doesn't get rid of static, but for fluffy laundry it works.  I use them and it seems to cut the drying time. Just throw two of them in and away you go. I just keep them in my dryer at all times. Don't bother buying those blue rubber balls like as seen on tv. Be careful using the dryer sheets. Check your lint trap often and even if it looks clean can be clogged. This poses a fire risk. A good yearly test is to remove lint like normal and then run it under tap water. If water pools you know it's not really clean. Wash with any soap and water and you are good. Previous posters are right, the sheets leave a residue on clothing. And after a while that gunk builds up on the lint trap too. And just a note, but anything labeled flame resistent (infant and children's clothes especially) should not be used with dryer sheets or fabric softener. You will find this stated on all softener products. Vinegar is an excellent fabric softener. And the vinegar scent is gone as soon as the clothes are dry. Promise.
